I've had to verify account, but it never involved sending anything to them. Sounds very fishy to me. Have you contacted Paypal direct about it?

candyfluff · 17/04/2010 19:08

yes i have twice and i said to the lady on the phone it sounded fishy - she said it wasnt though ,they wanted to see the whole page of my council tax bill for proof of address

Hi,
I verified my paypal account two weeks ago, it involved paypal depositing two small sums of money (under £1) in my nominated bank account and then I had to wait till they showed in my bank.
Once showed I logged on paypal, followed the link and typed the two sums in and it was done - that was it.
I was not asked to send anything in to prove my address. Sounds a bit like a scam or something to me.

Hope this helps
