sold phone on ebay. £28. sen tit recorded. can't even start anything with royal mail till its been lost for 15 days. because it hasn't been signed for the website has no info on the tracking number. which seems a silly service. becasue the only reason you would want to search is if someoen is claiming that they haven't received. can't even get through to royal mail on the phone.
but how much will we get back from them ? they never asked how much it was worth. and we can't prove it becasue it is an old phone.
shall we give the buyer a refund immediately ?
what do we do please ?

I have had a similar experience and sadly paypal usually pay out to the buyer, leaving seller out of pocket. But do not refund straight away, follow through the process, paypal will investigate and ask for you royal mail tracking number. You might get lucky so do not give up straight away!

You will be able to claim the money back from Royal Mail so you will not be left out of pocket. Once the 15 days have passed you can fill out a form online (which you then have to print out and post!), but with that you can attach a print out of the ebay page showing how much the item sold for. Recorded Delivery means any item you send is insured upto £39.

Tis a pain but you will get your cash.
