ebay help needed

I have bought lots on ebay but never sold
tried to sell tonight, said I needed a landline to verify, fine! entered the number, it rang, it said if you expected this call enter no_ which I did, said it again, did it again, line went dead - no verification code!

is this because the land line is in my husbands name? what can I do?

is your phone touch tone? Sounds like it isn't hearing your response.

yes it is and it works just fine for other things
I am wondering if its anything to do with the bill holders name (not me, DH)

When I did this I was given a code from ebay to press on the phone when they called me. There was no verification code at the end of it that I can remember. I had to do this as I had made £1200 in the past year and ebay needed extra details. My phone is in DP's name and not mine.

they rang and said if you expected this call press 3 (and next time 4 or whatever) and the screen was asking me to insert the code I was given on the phone?
