What feedback should I give?

I bought an item of clothing on ebay and when it arrived, it had a couple of small marks on it which were not declared in the listing and which did not come out with washing.

I told the seller who said the item was unworn and the marks hadn't been there when she sold it, but I can only say they were there when I received the item, and the packaging was intact. So I sent her a photo of the marks and said I understood she had paid to send the item but perhaps she could refund me the price of the item.

She has just refunded me the whole cost ie p&p too, and said she does not want the item returned.

Which is very generous of her and more than I asked her to do, but the bottom line is, the item was marked and I believe was marked when she put it up for sale.

But she has refunded me in full so I feel that deserves a positive feedback. But what comment should I write?

i would leave positive. and i would say something like, item marked but full refund given, good seller.

or something like that.
i can't believe she knew it was marked because she has now lost out hasn't she? you wouldn't really risk that surely?

i think she has been a great seller and handled it perfectly

Yes I agree, she has been a very good seller. I specifically suggested she refund me the cost of the item and she still refunded me the cost of the p&p too.

I don't know about the marks. They were there when I unwrapped the parcel. Maybe she did not see them? I know that can be done as I once listed something and didn't notice a small tear.

Thanks for advice about what to say. I don't want to write anything that could be seen as unpleasant and what you suggest fits nicely.

I'm sure she will appreciate you for being honest about her good will... and relieved that she secured your goodwill!

It must be gutting as a private seller to have less than 100% feedback these days, since they changed the rules on leaving feedback.
