Sizing argument label removed neg feedback?

Hello I am after some advice about a coat I bought on ebay at the weekend.

It was advertised as a size 16 next military coat, generous size. It arrived quickly and was in great condition. However, when I tried it on it was huge and the label has been cut out. I have checked the measurements and it measures a size 18. I emailed the seller as she does have a return policy but she refuses to refund as she insists it is a size 16 and even makes a fuss about having to pay more postage than quoted as she miscalculated how much it would be to post.

I am a regular shopper at next and buy size 16 coats and I am also an ebay seller myself (sahm trying to make a little bit of money to cover the constant growing spurts of 3 kids) but I have never left negative feedback and do not do so lightly. I know there is no tit for tat feedback now but it makes me uneasy.

Should I just try and sell it on and leave feedback for now? I do feel as though I have been diddled.

Any advice appreciated.

It does not matter if she got no-return policy, if you'll open a dispute with ebay because the item is not as described, she'll have to refund you anyway.

Thanks for your message.

She is now getting really aggressive but is going to do a second chance offer to previous bidder. She alleges she didn't remove the label from the coat and is generally being unpleasant. Going to leave negative feedback once I find out if the other person wants the coat.

don't let her mess you about and complicate things. tell her you will return it to her for a full refund. It is then up to her if she re-sells

Thanks for your messages. Have gone through ebay resolution centre and she is giving me a refund on the item but not postage. I am accepting that as she is being SO unpleasant I just want it done now.

Sorry to hear about this. I'm reluctant to leave negatives too, but would do so in this case with a short note about the facts.

Hmmmm - I'm an 18 but I got a Next coat from a charity shop - it's size 14 which fits fab - slightly roomy - also a militaryish style - the sizes do vary.
