Quick question about paypal

Sorry to be so dim but im new to paypal and not 100% sure on how it all works.

Can you buy something using paypal if you dont have any/enough funds in your paypal account and then paypal take it out of you bank account?

Does it only work if your account is funded?

If your bank account is linked to it then yes you can do that. But not sure if you need to set it up or if it just takes it from your bank account. You can also set credit/debit cards up too.

Paypal will take it directly out of your bank account.

If ever anything is refunded it will stay in your paypal account until you use it next time.
