I've got some furniture for sale ? no bids yet but a few watchers. I've been emailed and been asked if I have a buy it now price made they've made an offer above the reserve price. Not sure what the rules are ? can you accept things like this or do I have to revise my listing to show a buy it now price? Ob. don't want to break any rules! Thanks

This happened to me, watchers but no bids, we agreed a price, i altered to a BIN and she bought it.

You'd have to revise your listing to show a buy it now price.

If you would be happy for it to go for that price then go for it! Of course you may have got more by letting the auction run, but that is the chance you will have to take. At least this way you know it will sell for a reasonable amount.

thanks guys. So if I do accept the offer ? how do I remove listing from ebay?

You can't accept the offer and remove the listing. You have to let the buyer know that you are amending the listing to include a buy it now price and then they can buy it straight away.

well, technically she can......i know ebay don't like it, but she can just end item as not available for sale anymore

maduggar · 03/02/2010 19:13

she wouldnt be covered by ebay/paypal though, so she is better off adding a BIN

maxybrown · 03/02/2010 20:09

No but if she had cash on collection anyway - only the same as selling through paper etc
