Someone won my ds's bike last night for £4

They paid by paypal which i thought was odd as it said cash on collection.

I checked out the paypal transaction to check it had gone through ok and noticed the person who won the bike live in Ireland!

i have just read a message on my ebay from the buyer with a 'business' like message telling me details of a parcelforce collection due tomorrow for the bike.

It says parcelforce will be coming tomorrow between 9am - 5pm.

firstly, no way am i staying in on my day off from work waiting for a courier to come, and secondly, am i expected to wrap this bike up in some way? i know i am selling it etc as i dont want it any more but i dont like the thought of it being chucked around and scratched and damaged in the back of a lorry

what shall i do?
This seems like more effort than its worth for £4

I though the seller organised the delivery/postage, not the buyer.

email them back and say it's only cash on collection and you will relist

juicychops · 28/01/2010 20:13

yeah i thought that too and it said in the ad cash on collection, collection only

maybe il just refund the money and email her

it says in the description of the courier info that it will cost £15.22. the buyer must have paid this already. will they get this money back if i cancel the courier?

Surely they ahve to cancel the courier if they booked it?

CarGirl · 28/01/2010 20:26

That is not your problem.

Just state "the auction states cash on collection only" I am not able to package something for a courier, nor stay at home for a courier this is why it is cash on collection only.

juicychops · 28/01/2010 20:45

just emailed her saying im unable to stay in and wait for a courier and unable to package the bike for a courier

il refund her money and hopefully that will be the end of it.

am i wrong to think this person does have a bit of a cheek to do this? or is it clever planning?

Cheek & clever planning.

If you have no proof of delivery she could have reclaimed her money too!

juicychops · 30/01/2010 19:12

the stupid dick head only left me negative feedback!!

gunna email her in a minute and ask her what her problem is - in a nice way, and ring ebay in the morning to ask to get it removed as she hasn't complied with feedback rules. she is supposed to contact me first to try and resolve the problem. ive had nothing from her except a cut and past from a parcelforce receipt

stupid bint!!

that's really out of order! I don't think ebay will care that she hasn't followed the feedback rules but they may remove it on the basis that her bid was ineligible as she can't collect. Can you report her to ebay for non-collection of item or something like that?

If ebay don't remove the negative feedback, write a very polit response to it saying 'buyer wanted courier for collection-only item' - that way at least everyone will see the feedback's unfair.
