they changed/upped the postage

Can they do that?
I bought two items. One the postage was 55p and the other 1.25. I asked for a verified total price...and now both items are 1.25
Can they do that?

no i dont think they can
just query it with them, it may have been done by mistake and they can sort it for you

from your OP it sounds like the ebayer has actually combined postage and reduced it for you, or have I misunderstood your OP ?

sorry it's actually 1.25 for each time... so combined postage of 2.50

get back to them and say they appear to have made a mistake. If they say they actually now want 2.50 say you would rather they then sent them separately at 1.25 and 55

have they sent an invoice with the wrong amount?
can you go into each item and pay separately with the original p&Ps?

They sent two separate invoices with the 1.25 postage on each. When I tried to go back and pay with the original 'pay now' (on the 'you've won' email) it goes to a paypal invoice with the 1.25 for each

well, they are daft for sending 2 invoices as they will now have to pay 2 sets of paypal fees.
can you request a combined invoice - there should be a button for that

I had hassles recently requesting a combined invoice - I must have sent the seller about 3 requests before getting it right. I think eBay must have changed something recently, because I have never had problems before. You have to select both items in the boxes at the left hand side (i.e. tick the boxes), before requesting the invoice.

After what you said Purplefrog I double checked the emails I've sent. It looks like from the emails that I sent them (and myself too) that I 'ordered'/ asked for one invoice for both purchases...
I guess I will continue to wait and see if they get back to me.
