Baby suit smells smokey, what can i say in feedback?

Got a parcel this morning. I have been waiting for it as it was a beautiful Sarah Louise knitted suit for my DD. When it came today it was stinking of smoke, like really strong. My dad smokes so i probably wouldn't notice a faint smoke smell, but as soon as a ripped the bag i could smell it.
Should i say something in feedback, email or just leave it?

did it say smoke free home in listing?

I think it's good etiquette to email first to give the seller a chance to rectify.

They may give you the option of trturning for a refund, or if you want to keep it they could make a gesture - e.g. refund postage or partial refund, if they are unhhelpful or don't respond then I think you would be justified in leaving feedback.

If the actual suit is in good condition though, I would leave neutral rather than negative f/back. If they are really heavy smokers they may not have realised just how strong the smell was (if at all).

returning not trtning sorry

You really can't complain unless it claimed to be from a smoke free home...just wash it! Smokers are allowed to sell on ebay and what they smell is inevitably going to smell of smoke.

It didn't say smoke free home no.
I was going to leave + feedback anyway because the suit is as described, but was thinking of saying something like - "Lovely suit, arrived quickly but smelled of smoke".
Is that unfair?
