Emailing a buyer

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I sold an item for my friend last week with quite a high value. It was posted special delivery on Saturday so should have arrived either Monday or, at the latest, yesterday. I need to forward the money from the sale on to my friend by cheque and I know she'll been eager to get it, with Christmas not far away. I don't want to withdraw the money from paypal until I know the buyer has it and everything is ok with it. Do you think I'd seem very pushy if I emailed him today? I have typed out an email and think it sounds quite relaxed but explained about wanting to release paypal funds.

Also, I'm wondering whether to send similar emails to the other buyers who haven't left feedback yet as my paypal account is looking very healthy but my bank account isn't!! I'm not too bothered about the feedback but don't want the hassle of doing a refund when there aren't enough funds in my PP account.

check the tracking number online to see if it has been delivered.

have faith with the rest of your sent items if they know you posted the item (sent an email informing them) and they haven't been in touch asking 'where is my item?!' then you can assume all is well.
