not nice, look like slippers.

whomovedmychocolatecookie · 07/11/2009 21:14

Erm...do you want an honest opinion?

Disenchanted3 · 07/11/2009 21:15

They look like something a homeless person would fasion out of fruit & veg sacks,

sorry!

whomovedmychocolatecookie · 07/11/2009 21:17

Imagine you got a ferret and fashioned it into footwear.

Actually imagine John and Edward from X factor made into shoes.

Sorry!

IdrisTheDragon · 07/11/2009 21:18

They look a bit like they are falling apart (even though you can tell they aren't).

LaurieScaryCake · 07/11/2009 21:18

No on ever bids of really cheap boots/shoes

if they were from a decent shop or cost a certain amount then specify that in the listing - otherwise I would think 4.99 is normal for cheap plastic boots

GunpowderTortoiseAndPlot · 07/11/2009 21:18

Ooh harsh comments! They aren't that bad, well i didn't think they were.

How do they look like slippers?

I think it may be the size , pretty big size 8 for the majority...

ThisTooShallPass · 07/11/2009 21:24

ShockBiscuit

MmmHmm · 07/11/2009 21:29

They are minging new let alone second hand. You was robbed.

whomovedmychocolatecookie · 07/11/2009 21:29

Size 8 is too small for trannies and too big for most women - that could be an issue.

I had some boots I thought were lovely. DH hid them and I asked why and he told me they were vile. I asked a few friends and they confirmed they assumed I had been given them and were wearing them out of guilt or something

redsofas · 07/11/2009 21:35

o bless you!

frogs · 07/11/2009 21:53

It's not the size, I've sold quite a few things in size 8/42 and they go really well. It's the boots tbh, they're not that nice. Also I think people search by brand, so unbranded stuff will get far fewer hits. I sold a pair of DUO boots worn only a few times for £50 a couple of weeks ago.

Also I tend to start at 0.99, I think overall you get more interest and a better final price, plus you don't pay listing fees.

Mspontipine · 08/11/2009 00:28

I think they look nice but I'm not an 8. Are they a mentionworthy brand? Are they leather?

piprabbit · 08/11/2009 00:34

That's what I was thinking Mspontipine.
I'm a size 8 - but wouldn't bid as I'd assume they are supermarket plastic boots which probably only cost £15 new....

Probably completely wrong, but there's so little info in the listing I don't think I'd be tempted.

Booyhoo · 08/11/2009 00:38

i'm a bit tired and read that as boobs!!!

i dont like the boots but i can see that they would appeal to some.

maybe lower the start price?

glad its not pics of your boobs though

Maize · 08/11/2009 00:46

I would mention the brand.

They are hideous too and quite unfashionable at the mo.
Sorry.
