How cheesed off would you be if a seller changed the location of an item for collection?

I'm just venting. But really peeved.
Listing stated location of seller was A, therefore I assumed location of item was A (and it did state pickup was fine in the listing - no mention of alternate location) but having just contacted them to arrange collection, they have now said that the listing was done on their sisters account and item is at B.

Now its only about 12 miles extra (actually 25 miles for the return journey) but I am super-cheesed off that they didnt state the actual location B in the ad. I mean what if I'd lived on the other side of A rather than between the two - that would have added even more mileage?

I'm loathe to respond snappily cos I still have to pick the item up.

but am peed off

can you tell?!

I would be too. If you really want the item, I'd collect, then leave cross feedback.

If the other location is their sister's house, could you politely ask if they are going to be there any time soon and take it with them?

ChopsTheDuck · 17/09/2009 09:40

I'd ask them to meet you at A. It's not fair for you to have to drive another 25 miles.

Actually, if it is their sister, they must see them regularly, ask them just to get the item to A, and you will pick up in a week or so.

Ask them when they can get the item to A, as this was the advertised pick up place in the listing.

lynniep · 17/09/2009 09:45

yeah I think I'll ask them that first - if they are going to see the sister any time soon. if not, well I'll pick it up anyway and leave annoyed feedback...

ok its sorted. I emailed back to see if that would be ok, and the seller responded that yes they could drop off the stuff at their sisters at some point (and I'm not in a hurry - baby not due for 7 weeks!) - so everything is calm in lynniep land once more
