So the item was originally £2.50 as priced in the pic? Is that it?

It may not be a bargain but maybe the buyer can't get to a cheap shop easily?

£2.50 is not extortionate to ask for a pair of jimjams even if that's what the seller obviously bought it for. If something was a bargain at £2.50, it's still a bargain at £2.50 resale value!

There's no rule that says you have to sell for less than you clearly bought it for.

Anyway, the seller is still out of pocket as the P&P charge of £1.50 will largely be used up in paying for P&P! No profit there.

(I will quite clearly be the one snaffling a pair of genuine GHD straighteners clearly priced in the photo at, say, £25 clearance, for £25, whilst you lot are all scoffing at it not being a bargain!)

Surely the seller is not an idiot? More the people that bid on it, maybe.

I bought swim trunks for DS1 once and when they arrived the price tag was still on them and i have paid more. I wasn't to impressed but was easier than trying to get to the shops and searching for a pair.
