Non Paying Bidders

We have been having a big clearout and listed lots on ebay, the majority of which has sold fine.

However, I have one item that the buyer contacted about collection and when i sent the collection address they seemed to loose interest as it was obviously further away than they thought.

I chased and received an explanation for the delay. I also gave the option of meeting half way. After hearing nothing I chased again and had no response so I opened a case for non payment. They are ignoring this but continuing to buy on ebay! How long do I have to wait before I can relist and what happens about the fees?

The second item was on Buy it Now. I have had no payment/contact from the buyer and its five days later. So what is the point in them hitting BIN??

The third item was due for collection this morning and they are a no show so again I am wondering what the best course of action is and whether or not to bother listing anything further on ebay seeing as they charge so much for all this hassle!

Can anyone help with the above or have any suggestions for minimising the episodes of non payment in future?

all you can do is go through the procedure for non payment and get your fees back. After opening the dispute you can close it once the buyer has responded or after 8 days (I think it's 8 days, it will tell you in your resolution section)

Unfortunately there is no way of preventing this - I wish there was. All you can do is set your preferences.

Every so often I get a non payer who selected a BIN and then goes no further. Sometimes a dispute prompts them to pay, but not always.

The best thing to do for BIN options is to click on the option which insists on instant payment and then the buyer can't back out of it.
As for non payment once the dispute is open they have a further 8 days to pay and then you can close the case and then relist the item.
The people who did the Buy It Now 5 days ago - I usually send a reminder 4 or 5 days after the initial invoice and then if still nothing then open dispute on day 7.
If the sale doesn't go ahead you get your fees back, it all happens when you close the unpaid dispute.
If you have buyers that cause trouble - non payers for example then you can add them to your blocked bidder list so they can't bid on your stuff again.
Most ebay sales are fine but there are always some people who cause trouble or timewaste, it is a bit of a gamble but you said most of your sales went okay?
