Posting Moses Basket?

I've got a Moses basket for sale, pick up only. However another ebayer has contacted me offering a good buy it now price but would like it posted.
I usually send large items by parcelforce but they require it to be boxed. There is no way I have a box that big! It needs to be about a metre wide.
Can I send a large item like that via Royal Mail, and kind of wrap/bag it up? I have no idea!

We bought one off ebay and it arrived tied up in a black bin sack
It was fine though.

did it come via a courier or royal mail, do you know? I suppose I could use a bin sack and some cardboard.

Not the same but i bought a Quinny carrycot on ebay and they posted it 1st class by Royal Mail. It cost 11 pounds though. Was wrapped in bubbles and a bin bag.
