Is this fairly common or out of order?

If I've won an item in an auction from an Ebay shop and then the seller says it's out of stock, that's not on, right? should I report her to Ebay? She is offering an alternative or my money back. It was hardly any money but that's not the point really.

I don't use Ebay all that much so am not sure if this is fairly common for shops rather than personal sellers. Thanks for advice.

I think she should have said in the listing how many were available. Not sure what you can do about it though, apart from be pissed off.

I don't know if it's common, and I've certainly never come across it, but she has offered you an alternative or a refund so she's trying to put right what seems to have been a mistake.

Thanks for comments. The seller has 100% + feedback so it was probably just a mistake. I thought maybe it was a trick to get hold of my (paltry amount of) money!

I had that once with a CD. It took ages to get my cash (only a few quid) back and the seller sent abusive messages. Have you got the refund?
