Uploading photos takes ages

I am listing items to sell but each photo is taking yonks to upload. Could I be doing something wrong - is there a trick for a quicker way?

I always resize mine before uploading them as I have a quite new digital camera and it gives a really big picture (can't remember how many mega pixels, but a lot more than my old one was).

I use Microsoft Windows Picture Manager, and in 'edit' there is a resize option to make it smaller.

There is probably another/better way but this is how I do it, otherwise it was taking forever.

Mine always crashes windows at the point where the upload onto ebay finishes....Have got used to it tbh, but no idea why it does it....

NappyS - thanks for the tip about resizing as I think that may help. No joke, some photos were taking 15 minutes each to upload.
