how soon after an auction ends can an item be collected?

is it rude to go to collect it the next day? auction ends today, between 4 & 7...can' remember exactly when. Would it be bad form to ask to collect tomorrow between 12 & 1 ??

no not rude at all - if you are able to pick up then I would have thought the sooner the better for both of you. you can only ask!

just be aware they might not pick up your message in time!

oh and give them a number to call you on if you want it in a hurry - makes life easier than relying on email

Not rude at all - send an email as soon as you win the auction asking if you would be able to collect at that time - I have 2 buyer collect things on eBay at the moment and I just want to get rid of them as they are taking up space and no longer useful to me.

I had a collection only auction, buyer emailed with his phone number as soon as auction finished, I rang him, he collected within an hour, we were both happy.

Seller emailed me a phone number to arrange a time to call, will probably collect tomorrow BUT can I text to confirm a time or would it be better to actually call? With 3 LOs it's always a bit difficult to hear anything when I'm on the phone
