I bid on an item when I had had too much to drink yesterday, It really isn't me(outfit).
I am still the highest bidder with 5 hours to go.
I really cannot afford it, cannot believe I was this stupid.
Can I get out of buying it????

go on tell us, what is it?

I think you can w/d bids when more than 12 hrs to go, but too late now.

You could contact seller at finish and offer to make up 1-2 x difference if they will sell to 2nd highest bidder instead.

hee hee. silly!! I always bid in the last minute, so theres a chance someone else is going to bid anyway, unless you did a maximum bid. you didnt do a maximum bid did you??!!

andirobo · 11/05/2009 16:37

Thoes shoes are well dodgy - do they come with some illegal substance in them, else why pay £102 for scabby shoes!!

flamingobingo · 11/05/2009 17:05

It's a fetish, andirobo - people, apparently have a 'thing' for worn shoes and pay a fortune for them!

omg those shoes went for £141!

norksinmywaistband · 11/05/2009 18:58

Phew - I have been outbid. It was for a black jumpsuit/all in one thing, obviously very drunk.

Those shoes were horrid, didn't know people sold things like that on there.

Now can you block sites for when drunk

seller has another pair of those shoes. Only £10 at mo but they are just foul. If there was any doubt about the true nature of the item it says it is a private listing and only the seller can see the bidder ID. How hideous.

andirobo · 11/05/2009 21:13

Well aren't some people strange!! I assume it is men that buy these shoes??

alphamummy · 11/05/2009 21:44

how much will these go for?!

Pingpong · 11/05/2009 22:30

OMG !!!!
so alphamummy how did you stumble upon that seller ?

alphamummy · 11/05/2009 23:39

I typed well worn into ebay search!!

Some shoes dont sell as well as others, that seem the same to me? I'm not sure how one would achieve £141 as loads dont sell at all

well each to their own!

alphamummy · 11/05/2009 23:41

Its not me i promise!!! My 14 month would have destroyed that cream carpet!!

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 11/05/2009 23:44

OMG! Those tights had 687 hits!!!

How would you explain this job to the tax office?

Pingpong · 11/05/2009 23:46

yeah but until I read this tonight I had no idea to even search for 'well worn' - I live a sheltered existence!

bellabelly · 11/05/2009 23:47

Oh god, I am soooooo going to sell all my manky old shoes to pervs for hundreds of pounds. Thank you mumsnet, I have just glimpsed my way out of the Credit Crunch

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 11/05/2009 23:48

I wonder if there's a smelly sock section?

Pingpong · 11/05/2009 23:52
