Ebay or Amazon for Childrens Learning Books - Jolly Phonics, ORT etc

Has anyone tried Amazon for selling books? Is it as easy to use as Ebay?

Have lots of toys to pop on ebay but also had a clearout of the learning books etc that I bought when DS was in reception to help with phonics etc. Was wondering if I would have more joy with selling Jolly Phonics/ORT etc on Amazon rather than Ebay due to the nature of the item.

Not sure if the postage on Ebay is restricted and was hoping to sell them in bundles rather than list them all individually.

If any of you use Amazon would love to know if its user friendly and cost effective etc

Amazon is v. user-friendly, cheap and easy. HOWEVER the postage is determined by them, so you need to calculate whether it's worth your while or not (ime generally reasonable for lighter items, not always for heavier ones) and set your price accordingly. AFAIK you can only sell items individually rather than batches. Some items get a good price on amazon, others are going for £0.01 (I assume people make their money, such as it is, on postage). In the latter case, i don't bother selling tbh. An easy way to find the going rate for your items is to type in the ISBN numbers and see what other used items are going for.

ORT books sell really well on ebay IME. There is a price restriction on the postage, but as long as you aren't selling 10+ in one go it should be okay. If you are selling loads in one go then you can list the item as "Courier -- see item description for details" and then put the approximate postage cost in the body of the listing. I've sold a big batch of Ladybird books that way without any trouble. ORT books I sell in batches of about 6 or 7, grouped together according to level. If you do a search on completed listings you'll see what sells or not. I haven't tried selling Jolly Phonics, but again you should be able to search for completed listings.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Frogs, nice to know Amazon is user friendly so may give it a go for the Jolly Phonics (have the bulk of the range) and perhaps put the ORT and other bits on Ebay.

Yurtgirl, the workbooks are very good and the teacher handbook great for photocopying so sure you'll be pleased with them. All the items I bought were great for helping DS especially the read and see books as they definately helped his reading to suddenly click.
