What Would You Do?

My sister bought a stroller from ebay, not expensive just a little 4 wheel thing from toysrus,

the people said they would drop it off and did.

The listing said ...

We've had this pram only 10 months and is in very good condition.

But when it arrived it had the sellers adress taped to it and a parcelforce48 sticker with the date of march 3rd 09.

So they only got it a month ago, from someone else not a shop.

So she is the 3rd owner when the listing read as they bought it 10 months ago.

What would you do?

If anything?

What condition is it in?

MadameCastafiore · 28/04/2009 12:17

OFFS what do you want a discount because it is not just second hand but third hand!

If it is a condition fitting to the price I wouldn't care!

Disenchanted3 · 28/04/2009 12:18

I don't know haven't seen t, i think its good, she didn't say otherwise.

Think shes just peeved at the fibbing and she thougt she was buying from 1st owner.

No one wants a discount

She was thinking of turning it because she doesn't know HOW many owners its had, she thought it was 1.

Could the label have been from it being posted back to them after they had it repaired/left it somehwere and its was being returned?

legacy · 28/04/2009 12:21

Maybe they left it somewhere and had it sent back?

Why does it matter if the condition is OK.

I make a point of never believing any of the comments about previous owners.

I don't think you can do anything.

insertwittynicknameHERE · 28/04/2009 12:24

I think if the condition is as described and overall your sister is happy with it then I wouldn't bother doing anything. But if the condition is not as described and your sister is worried it is unsafe or is not happy with it then she should start a dispute.

I think she has PMS lol.

I might buy it off her.

The listing said 'We've had this pram only 10 months and is in very good condition'

It doesn't say it's only 10 months old. And the chances are that they only had it for the 10 months they stated.

They didn't lie. They didn't particularly mislead. They stated a fact....they'd had it for 10 months.

It's a bit like estate agency speak...for deceptively spacious read pokey but they've presented it really well For we've had it 10 months, don't read it's 10 months old...and if you want to be sure, check.

If the items as good as your sister expected, she doesn't really have much right to be miffed imo.
