Any tips on the best "end" times/days to get the highest bids?

Has anyone worked out if there are better days and/or times to have auctions ending in order to get the best final price?
I'm mainly selling baby toys at the moment but am having a big clear-out so any tips on any sort of auctions would be most appreciated .

A good tip I got (probably from Mumsnet!) was to schedule your auction to end on a weekend evening. The theory behind this is that people often wait until the last minute to bid, or to increase the amount they're willing to pay if they see they've been outbid. Therefore you improve your chances of more people bidding against each other at the weekend, as they've got time to monitor the end of an auction (when they're not at work or busy with the kids for example).

Selling stuff in bundles also seems to be a good idea for smaller items - less hassle too, as you don't then have to do p&p for each individual item, and you're more likely to get rid of everything.

Good luck with it - I really need to do the same, really soon...
