Item not arrived and I'm now suspicious of buyer - have opened a dispute but now what?

I would have been prepared to believe it got lost in the post, but another buyer has left feedback saying their item (identical to mine) didn't arrive either.

So I have opened a dispute. Seller is now offering a 50% refund. What should I do? Reply saying I want a full refund? Or would that leave him the time to close his Paypal account and leg it? Should I just claim the cash from Paypal without warning him? Or take the 50% and lump it?

escalate. PP will freeze the amount in his account till they decide to refund ( which they will unless he has tracking proof)

yup do as maryP says and escalate to a claim

OK, thanks. Will do that.
