Ebay fees

I used to ebay a bit but it was in the old days when you paid to list. I am thinking of selling some bits and pieces again but I am not sure now how much I will end up being charged in fees.

Say I listed something for 99p and ended up selling it for that. How much would I have to pay ebay in fees? Also, what are paypal up to nowadays? How much would I end up paying them? TIA.

fees are about 10% so that would be 10p

Paypal take 28p then a percentage, so again on 99p would be say another 35p.

Make sure you get your postage right too !

Its not really worth the effort imo for bits.

That was the conclusion I came to last time Galava (about not being worth it for bits) but I am trying to buy some school dresses for dd and they are all being bid on and sold like hot cakes, and I have some that are too small for dd so I thought I might give it a go.

A lot of sellers now seem to include the basic Ebay and Paypal fees to the P&P, or at least an amount that tey think will cover it IYSWIM. I have seen loads of listings that declare it up front so I assume it is acceptable from and Ebay POV.

I always did that Judging by the ludicrous p&p costs these days, it would seem they are doing more than covering their fees though.

LOL, I want aged 9-10 in blue checks, but not those dresses which go straight down from the shoulder to the hem, rather one with a waist, like this one: here Can you help?

up to now DG only found green and white 6/7 and blue stripes staight one 11 - 12 and a navy / white straight down 6/7
will keep looking I am now doing a car boot on sunday as dh has got the weekend off and can mind the kids so need to get sorting out

Gosh snowball, how much stuff do you have? You sound like you have a whole houseful!

The bidding on the ebay dresses has continued to rise - anyone would think they are made of gold dust. Surely it would be cheaper to go to Asda and buy new? But anyway, it has made me more than ever determined to list dd's grown out of dresses - when I can find my camera

i sold a couple of dresses on ebay.
turned out, they were for a project in uganda.
would be cheaper to go to Asda and buy new, but would rather have 2nd hand better quality.
also, recycling, etc.
