i am listing a psp games console with games on ebay for my brother, i have put a £75 reserve price on with a 0.99p starting bid, so far it has 7 bids by 2 ebayers, both of whom signed up 2 ebay within the last week and both of whom have 0 feedback !!!
i am a bit sceptical about this, i checked wat both ebayers were bidding on and 1 of then seems genuine as he isnt bidding on much but the other ebayer is bidding on a lot of top of the range items !
i may be wrong about these 2 ebayers, i dont know wat 2 do as it has cost £3.75 2 list already !
any suggestions ? x

YOu can block certain bidders, people by name, or more generally, those with no feedback/negative feedback. I'm not sure if you can do this when they have already made a bid though.

After the only kefuffle I've ever really had on ebay being with bidders with little f/b I always put on my listings now that if they have less than 10 they have to email me first...I feel a bit mean doing it, but ebay is time-consuming as it is, for the little financial gain you make, without having to deal with people who haven't quite understood how it works!

How did it fo Mamof3?

hiya, sum1 else put a last minute bid in so they won it(they have 100 % feedback so im not worried) however it does pee me of wen they put a last minute bid in and dont pay straight away lol

I don't mind new ebayers, we all had to start somehwere if you think anyone is dodgy though just block them.

KingCanuteIAm · 22/04/2009 14:46

Mam, they could be using a snipe site to bid and so be nowhere near the computer to pay!

mamof3 · 22/04/2009 16:13

KCIA thanx 4 that, i hadnt thought of that.
dont get me wrong i dont mind new ebayers just thought it weird i had bids of 2 brand new ebayers xx

It is a bit un-nerving, I have watched 0feedback bidders become -tve ones during the course of an auction (and win mine too), of course others are genuine new ebayers so I understand the concern!

The only upside to it (for you) is that they can bump the price higher than it would have gone if there was only the one genuine bidder IYSWIM. Where I have had this happen the item has gone to the next highest bidder, they paid a price they were happy with but that would have been lower if the -tve bidder had not jumped in.
