Recurrent log in problems

Right, I've got a big problem with my eBay account.
It started last week sometime. I couldn't log in even though I definitely had the right password. I use it all the time and know it by heart. I tried to reset it and really struggled, because when I went to the change password page it was supposed to send something to my e-mail account and it never arrived. In the end I found a way to reset my password by a telephone system and that was that.
Then when my 4 auctions finished I never had e-mails notifying me off this. I had to physically check in my eBay to see that they had ended. I checked to see if eBay had the right e-mail adress in my account and it did.
Today I tried to log in again with my new ppassword and again I can't log in.
Has anyone ever had this. Does this mean someone else might be accessing my account? Why don't I get notifications to my e-mail address? This is really really strange.

I had a similar problem last year with my E-bay account.

After I reset my password someone trid to sell knock off handbags on my account and it was blocked. Phoned up again to get the password reset. Al was fine for about a week then the same thing happened again. Only this time the sods went into the personal information and changed the e-mail address and info so when I called up they couldn't issue a new password/unblock my account as technically it wasn't my account.

The lovely bloke on the end of the phone said they were having a lot of problems with this happening.

Gave up in the end and haven't opened a new account.

Good luck getting yours sorted.

I know it's not the same thing but this week I changed email addresses on our 2 accounts. One account didn't even ask me for a password! I thought it wouldn't change the email address but it did!

pages.ebay.co.uk/help/account/securing-account.html check here on what to do if you think your account has been hacked.

I had exactly the same as Littlemonkeysmummy, except it was Ugg boots! Check first of all the ebay isn't on your list of blocked senders, or in your junk mail folder. If not, you'll need to contact ebay security. They sorted it out for me on the phone pretty quickly.

No eBay isn't on my blocked senders my listing confirmations arrived safely before and I triple checked my junk mail folder. I can't find a phone number for them though.

You need to click a link somewhere and they do it by an instant messaging, and then they phone you with a code number that you have to input.

Belgianchocolates · 22/04/2009 10:02

I've done that already and reset my password that way, but it's changed itself again. Today I got an e-mail asking me to rate the response of customer services as apparently I received a message yesterday, but there isn't one in my in box nor in my spam box, GRRRRRRR. I tried to get into my eBay and I've still got the message saying it's blocked due to security problems. Aaaargh, all I want to do is to talk to a real person and see what can be done!!

Thanks everyone for your messages.
MrsMuddle. I've found that link to the instant messaging thing and my account is all sorted now. What a hassle for a few pounds, sometimes I wonder if it's all worth it!
