I bought two Wii nunchuks from a seller in Hong Kong on 7 February. To start with he only sent one - I emailed to ask when the other would be sent. He said they'd both been in the same package, and I replied that the package wasn't big enough to hold two. He then sent out the second one. It was the end of Feb by the time the second one arrived.
A week or so later, we were playing a new game, and it became obvious that one of the nunchuks didn't work properly - it worked to sideways movement, but not up and down. We hadn't noticed this on the game we first tested the nunchuk on, because it had different controls. (The other nunchuk worked fine).
I emailed the seller to ask for a replacement. He said okay. I asked what he wanted me to do about returning the defective one. He asked me to find out how much it would cost to return it, as he didn't want it back if it was too expensive. I told him it would be £3.50 (can't remember the exact amount).
I haven't heard anything more from him. We passed the 45 day dispute limit a couple of weeks ago (I wasn't really aware of this before as I've never had a dispute). I've emailed Ebay about it, but I just got a standard response from them saying I had various ways to proceed - all of which have to be taken within 45 days.
Is there anything I can do, or do I just have to suck it up?
