pick up only buyer not responding to me - what to do?

I sold a double buggy on a pick-up only basis - this was clear enough in the listing.

The winning bidder lives on the other side of the country to me and I have the feeling they have realised their mistake (ie bidding on an item they couldn't pick up) but they won't respond to my emails. The buyer has a zero feedback and only registered with ebay on the day they bid for the pram.

What should I do? I have another potential buyer who would definitely come and pick it up if it was available. Is there any way to cancel the sale? I'm really hacked off - not at the mistake but the lack of communication. They could at least get in touch to let me know what's going on!

Don't know much about selling on ebay. But doesn't sound good.

I would send one last email saying if you don't hear back by xxx then you have another buyer.

Sure you can flag something with ebay if you've had no response. How long has it been?

megthedog · 25/03/2009 18:22

it's only been 3 days so not long at all. I've emailed asking her to let me know if she's changed her mind. I can't raise an unpaid item dispute with ebay until it's been 7 days.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

You can request their contact details via ebay and they should have a phone number, I've done this a few times. I have had problems with my ebay messaging with messages not getting through. Ebay seemed to think this was a trivial and unavoidable problem! Maybe they weren't thinking about pick up only items...
Best of luck
