hi,
i just bought a pushchair off ebay, when it arrived it was very badly packaged and FILTHY,
i stripped it all and had to wash all the covers twice to get them clean,
there are still a few marks on it which wont come out,
i contacted the seller immediately and she offered me a refund if i return it as she reckons it was clean when she sent it,(i took lots of photos to prove it wasn't)

TBH its so much hassle trying to wrap it back up and return it, plus i have spent 2 days scrubbing it,
am i unreasonable to ask for a part refund?or is it a case of return it to her or shut up moaning about it lol???

any thoughts welcome!
thanks sarahxx

you could ask for part refund as you dont get refunded for posting back that's up top you to cover so if your happy with pushchair other wise then you'll lose money to send it back anyway so either let it go or suggest part refund to cover cleaning needed

just got a reply saying she is not willing to give any sort of partial refund,
can i open a dispute? she has offered to refund if i return the buggy, but i dont want the hassle of that, plus she wont refund the postage,so i will still have paid £40 for 2 lots of postage,

can i open a dispute?or is it just a case of leaving bad feedback??

thanks

I think if you win a dispute they'll refund you what you paid and your postage, but you'd still have to send the item back to her at your own cost.

Hmm as a seller I never do partial refunds, I always tell someone they can have their money back if they return the item.
I think some people try it on and ask for partial refunds, and they usually change their minds if you say 'oh send it back'.
Not that you are trying it on, but if she's been stung like this in the past like I have...

If you send her the pics, and say you will accept say a refund of the postage price, otherwise she will leave you no choice but to leave neg feedback over the condition of the thing.

Have you checked her feedback, has anyone else left neg over condition of things?

I did once sell something of my baby's I described it as vgc, the seller sent it back and omg she was right! I think sometimes when you have something in constant use, you think its still vgc when actually its getting worn and dirty.

So perhaps consider only buying things like that from local sellers in future where you can pick up, or put it down to experience now that you have cleaned it and have a half decent buggy.

she had 100% positive feedback,
i'd just sold a buggy and needed another quickly,i didnt have time to wait for the paypal to clear into my bank so thats why i bought off ebay, and with her feedback score i thought it'd be fine,

she's never sold a buggy before,or anything else that could really have been dirty (IYSWIM)
i've just sold 4 buggies, but they were scrubbed before i sold them lol,

its just a real hassle for me to send it back, and i will be left with no buggy, and she will have a nice clean buggy to resell ( for more than i paid for it prob)

If its all nice and clean and you think it might now be worth more than you paid for it, I'd keep it then when you sell it on (I'm assuming you are a buggy holic!!) you could make a profit or at least get your money back.

Best put it down to experience I think and give her a neg.

yep well i thought it was going to be great, but its much bigger folded than i(and my tiny car) expected!so i dont think i will keep it long lol,i do love it though
