How do I claim payments - what am I doing wrong?

Hello. I'm new using ebay and am confused. I've sold a couple of things since Friday and ebay is saying that the payments are being processed but they are not showing up in paypal. When I click on the claim payment link, it takes me to the paypal log in but when I log in nothing is there.

Is this because its the weekend? I thought it was instant and the payment I sent today is showing up. Anyone have any ideas? I'm worried people will want things posted and I don't know if I can until I've got the payment in. I'm confused

Some people are just very slow at paying, don't post until you get it.

I think it can take a while for paypal to process things - I always pay for stuff the minute I win it on ebay, but have had to wait a week for something to be posted to me, because they were waiting for my payment to clear through paypal, so, it may not be your buyer's fault. But agree, don't post until you can see the cash in your paypal account. No harm sending a courtesy email to your buyer to let them know this.

Its not the buyers, the payments are showing as being processed but haven't showed up in paypal. I thought I might be doing something wrong in paypal because it says in ebay to claim the payment but then its not there to claim when I go into paypal.

Should I need to do anything to claim payments? I have sold a couple of other things this week and the money showed up in paypal and ebay without me doing anything

Make sure you have entered the correct email address in the listing for paypal payments...

People don't always pay me immediately. Have you sent an invoice?

ilove, I updated my email so it will be the wrong email address. What do I need to do to correct this?
