have asked advice before about this, which i followed but have not got my refund yet!

2nd jan bought a top and paid immediately
7th jan seller emailed me to say she'd damaged it and did i want it anyway for a reduced price or do i want a refund?
8th jan i replied saying no. please refund me.
17th jan i emailed again asking for a refund.
21st jan still no refund. asked you wise mnetters and emailed her giving her two days to refund me or i will start a dispute.
23rd jan got this email:

Hi there, Im really sorry- this is my mums ebay account and because i used her paypal account at the time as i hadnt set mine up, your payment went via my mums paypal account. I have to transfer money from my bank account to my mums paypal account so i can refund you. I have to admit as i have now got my own ebay account i have forgotten to do this earlier, i didnt realise it takes so long to transfer money this way (as it comes out straight away when you pay for something!). I will send the top to you and refund your payment, so if you can get it mended you will have a nice top for free!! Hope this is ok i will refund your money as soon as it has completed ( i have only transfered it two days ago and it takes up to 10 days to transfer depending upon the bank), i havent been ignoring your email, but since i opened mu own acc i havent used my mums and she is panicking now!
Hope this is ok?

i replied with a polite email saying i don't want the top, just a refund thanks.

2nd feb - still no refund.

do you reckon i'm being taken for a ride and just launch a dispute, or email again? i hate hassling people and this sort of thing makes me feel really horrible. but it's been a MONTH!

Yes Warthog, I'd send her 1 last final email saying[

Further to your email on 23rd January, I still have not received your refund and intend to open a paypal dispute on 4th February if it has still not been received.

Kind regards,

Warthog

Don't you only have 30 days to lodge a Paypal dispute?

RobertPattinsonComeToMomma · 02/02/2009 23:31

45 days for a paypal dispute.

cheesesarnie · 02/02/2009 23:34

i agree with MumHadEnough.

warthog · 03/02/2009 07:34

well i've emailed her.

she's actually committed fraud by using her mum's account.

am pissed off now.
