Dp sold something on fri(1ST SALE) and the buyer has sent an email stating that money has been paid in Paypal but dp cant see it and Paypal says that he needs to upgrade.Which he did and now it is saying it needs a direct debit setting up.
HELP

Its so they can check your account is yours. follow the instructions, they will put a small amount of money into it (pence) and you tell them the amount to prove its genuine. It's a pita!

Just follow the instructions. It can take 5 days to set it up though so contact the buyer to explain what the delay is.

Meant to add that he has bought stuff through paypal before and it has gone through fine but this is 1st time selling.should that make a difference?

It is telling him to upgrade to a premier or buisness account.

you ned to be on premier account to be able to sell on e bay so you can receive payments you also need to add credit or debit card details so you can transfer sold money into your bank account

you need to be on premier so you can accept payments made by credit or debit cards or you can only receive if money is from one paypal account to another which most people buying would be from there bank to you so need premier to accept these payments

also if he has something to collect only dint accept paypal only cash on collection as buyers pay by paypal and can claim undelivered item and you have to have valid post office proof of postage to be able to prove they have item so any collection only , then only accept cash on collection

and dont forget to ask for receipts when posting item and keep them safe so you always have your proof of postage i made the mistake when first selling as sending and not having receipts

He is emailing the buyer to explain the delay.I do hope that she wont leave negative feedback because of the delay.It was a genuine mistake.

i would imagine as you have informed them then they shouldn't do just keep them informed of progress as you go along didn't take too long from what i remember when we had to set ours up
