I purchased (through paypal) an item on the 7th December. By the 18th I hadn't recieved it, so emailed seller who quickly responded if it hadn't arrived in 2 days to get back to them and they would sort it out. 2 days later ni sign so I emailed them agin on the 20th, again on the 27th when I returned from christmas and again today. And have heard nothing since the 18th. What do I do now? Do I open a dispute, am I supposed to tell them I will do that and await a response before doing so? Have only bought a handful of things of ebay before and never had any problems. Advice gratefully received.

hello. you need to open a dispute. you could email them first though, but it looks to me like that will be the way to get your money back.
i have had the same problem before. and as soon as i opened dispute, they paid me straight away.
however they could be away for the holidays?? maybe wait a couple more days?
hth xx

You only have a certain number of days to open a dispute - 28 days I think.

You have given them plenty time to respond - so you would be perfectly reasonable to open a dispute now.

Alternatively, you could email them, tell them if you havent hard back by xx (24/48 hours) then you will be left with no choice other than to open a dispute. Hopefully that might give them the push they need.

They might just be away for xmas?

Did you pay for recorderd/special delivery?

Thanks. Having checked through paypal it appears you have up to 45 days from the payment to open a dispute. I emailed this morning, if I don't here back within 24hours I will email again giving 48hours to respond or I will open a dispute. It isn't for a lot of money, but it was supposed to be a present for ds for either his birthday (already happened) or failing that for christmas.
