Don't know what to do...

I bought an item on 13th December and paid with PP. They are a shop and they state 3-5 working days for delivery. It was a planned christmas present for my best friend.

I emailed the seller on Monday to ask if they had posted it already (am aware that post takes longer over Christmas, but it has now been 11 days since purchase) and they have not replied.

I'm not so concerned that the item hasn't arrived yet- it's probably held up in a Royal Mail office somewhere, my concern is their lack of communication.

I've used Ebay for years and luckily have never not received a purchased item so I don't know what to do. How long do I wait before emailing again? What to say on a second email? When should I contact Ebay? Is there a time limit for opening a dispute?

I'm happy to wait until the NY, but how late should I leave it before my next action?

Thanks!

Have the same problem Cupoftea I would keep emailing them as one woman took 3 weeks for me to get the thing I had brought and it was because she had been taken into hospital.

I agree. As frustrating as it is, chances are that the seller might have posted it, might have it delayed/lost in the post and the seller may be unaware and now away from home for the holiday.
Of course, the seller might just be avoiding you, but at this time of year, worth waiting until the new year to give them a good chance to respond and clear it up. Perhaps a second email between Christmas and New Year just so you know you made the effort? I would keep it brief and polite for now. If it gets to the 6th Jan when everyone is back at work, then I would get a little more tough and consider stepping it up to complaint and refund action.

Sorry you didn?t get it in time for Christmas
