Neutral Feedback - I think I have been fair but wwyd now?

I bought an item on the 2nd December, on the 12th (10 days later) I got an email saying "I have just posted this, daughter been ill so it is late". It finally arrived on the 17th (15 days after close of auction). I checked the postmark as I thought P.O. may have been slow, it showed the item was not sent until the 15th (13 days after close of auction).

So, I felt that taking 13 days to post an item is a bit much and not letting me know for 10 days is a bit rich too - I had been expecting it to be there by then really!

The item is great so I felt that I should leave neutral feedback saying that the item is great but the seller took 13 days to post out. However I wanted to be fair to the seller so emailed tham first to tell them what I was doing and why.

So, I have heard nothing back from the seller, I am not sure really if I am expecting them to say anything at all. Do I post the feedback and be done with it or do I hang on to give them more chance to respond? Also, what do I do if they make an offer to refund some money or something? I don't think feedback can be bought so is there any way I can offer a solution for them...

(BTW, this is a new business seller although the item was not a business item it will affect his bussiness account)

Definately a neutral.

Personally I never read positive FB - I only red the neutral/neg so if you left positive with 'slow postage' I would take no notice of it.

I think a neutral is more then fair!
