how would you package a stokke xplory?

Hello, am pndering ebaying my stokke, but think it will sell better if I dont put collection only. My only problem is who do I use as a cheap and reliable curiour? and how do i package it? It cones apart in three bits, the footrest, the seat and the actual chassis. So I bubble wrap, then cardboard, then plastic wrap then brown paper? or do I do collection only? TIA

Collection only would be useful but as you say might generate less bids. Although Xplorys are not that common on ebay, so bidders might be prepared to travel some distance to collect. I'm generally prepared to travel around 50 miles (by train if neccessary) for a pushchair I really, really want.

Could you consider meeting halfway for delivery, or delivering yourself for a fuel contribution from the buyer? Delivering yourself you could weigh up against the time taken, fuel costs and how much you really want to sell the pushcahir for I suppose. If I was desperate to sell it, I'd consider this.

I've posted pushchairs and other bulky, awkwad items before and they've so far arrived safe. Also had highchairs and buggies sent to me arriving safe. Been using DHL via various parcel delivery companies such as parceltree (now bust). Always check the ebay Forums for reviews on which courier firm is going down the drain or has just gone bust first if you do choose courier deivery! Couriers are insured, but there's still no guarantee it will arrive safely.

Lastly, have you tried listing it on EBID or your local cafe where mums meet up or school noticeboards? I sold a few baby items on my local supermarket board (big clear photo vital)for much more than they sell in ebay Completeds Search! And without the list fees or Feedback to worry about afterwards!

Big retail sites such as Currys and anyone else selling white goods usually on out of town retail sites are great for quality packaging for large items. Ask the manager (not a lowly sales staff member) if it's possible for you to come in on delivery days and collect a large box including it's packaging before staff flatten it and put out in the wheelie skips round the back. I packed a highchair once this way, with packaging from a very fragile white good ; rigid foam, bubble wrap, poly inserts, then I had an old duvet at home as extra wadding, as well as a quality rigid cardbox box. Needless to say it arrived safely, packed like it had a puppy in there!
