Baby clothes and how best to sell them?

Is ebay really the best place to sell baby clothes lots? Is there anywhere else? Ebay looks like a big hassle.

gumtree maybe, but probably wouldnt get much for them. Same with boot sales.

Ebay is good if they are designer or if you have a 100% Next bundle. Otherwise they just sell for pennies, even bundles!

Everyone gets bought or buys themselves so much lovely little baby stuff, that the child wears for so little time, that the market is flooded with lovely baby clothes and so the price is always very low.

If they are seasonal then you need to wait till the correct season to wear them.

Most towns have a dress agency, the one near me takes baby and childrens clothes. But again its suffed full of hardly worn things up to 18m and they are quite cheap to buy, then you've got the sellers commission.

Ebay is good if you put a bundle of say 100% good brands and make sure everything is perfect, lots of pictures etc.

Anything supermarket, primark etc usually doesnt' sell on ebay as by the time you've paid postage you could nip down to asda and buy new.

You could put up a postcard in your local supermarket/post office - I've bought and sold things that way before - and then you've got no fees and the buyer doesnt have to pay postage costs. I wouldn't recommend boot sales if you want to get anything approaching decent money as boot sale buyers will not pay even reasonable prices.

Agree with other posters, you can go to any of the big supermarkets and buy lovely clothes for a few quid so buying them second hand is hardly worth it.

But saying that, I've just sold some baby clothes in ebay - got a couple of quid for a bundle - which was about what I was expecting so fair enough.
