Cheapest courier for overseas postage

Has anyone had experience? I'm sending 8.5kg parcel UK to Canada. On DHL its 86quid. Does anyone know anyone cheaper? (it doesn't have to arrive in time for 25th)

bugger, they're going to charge on volumetric weight, which will be 150quid.
