Am an ebay virgin.
I won a shower pump on the 16th and paid by paypal on the 17th.
In the listing the seller said she couldn't post until the 20th as she was away, which was fine. I haven't heard anything yet at all though. I know it's only the 23rd but I thought I might get an email. Is this fine or should I be sending the seller an email?

no harm in emailing to ask if shes sent it yet.
You wont necessarily get an emai to say its been sent though, it will most likely just arrive in the next few days

There's me sitting here wondering if I should be doing something. I don't know how people do this ebay thing. It's so stressful and confusing.

2point is right, not everyone sends an email informing of despatch. Feel free to send an email but don't get disheartened if you do not get a reply - not all people check their email or ebay account every day, especially sellers who sell the odd item, rather than an eBay shop. You can tell from the feedback. If it runs into 4 figures, quite likely to be a professional seller.

Best to give a few days for it to arrive in the post.
