Have only ever brought from the UK on ebay, but dd2 wants Camp Rock stuff for xmas and all of the nice stuff on there is from US.

So, what happens when you buy from there ??

I've purchased quite alot from the US and never had to pay VAT.

Things sent as gifts are VAT exempt which is why people are offering to mark items as a gift.

Never ask anyone to mark something as a gift though as its customs fraud, and ebay can get a bit funny if you are reported.

You probably won't have to pay VAT, but you might, so factor this into the cost of anything you buy.
