I got an email from buyer asking me to leave him feedback

He left me a negative, as the parcel arrived a few days later than he thinks it should ahve done. He moaned about it 2 days after the listing ended, despite it clearly saying on teh listing that most posting is done on Fridays or saturdays. He hassled me, not an extreme amount, but did send a few email, and then left me a negative saying he hadn't got the parcel. Now I know he has received it,it was sent recorded, but that negative is now showing up on my feedback, and I can't leave a neutral for him, which is what I would have done.

You can respond to negative feedback can't you? So your reply is underneath his comment. Or can you dispute it on the basis that it has arrived and he's lying? Don't know how to do either of those things but I think you can.

Just had a look. If you go into My Account and Feedback it lists your recent feedback and you can Request feedback revision (at the top right of the list). HTH

Yes, that's a good idea. If they won't take a look and change his feedback, you can at least leave a sensible, unemotional comment beneath it stating the facts - most people can tell who is the nob and who is the sensible person who got unfairly negged.

Something like, 'Item paid 23/10/08. sent 25/10/08. Difficult buyer.'

Well he sounds pleasent....not!

As the feedback he left is untrue I would contact Ebay to see if they will remove it. If not leave a comment underneath.

I certainly wouldn't leave him any feedback!!
