sammybeth · 30/10/2008 08:13

depends what you are selling

Lizzylou · 30/10/2008 08:30

I think it's good, have only ever had about 8/9 watchers on anything I've been selling.

Good luck!

MrsMagooo · 30/10/2008 12:32

I've got 23 watchers on one of my item, have done for about 3 days & had loads of questions but still no-one's actually bought it so I'm not holding my breath

Hope you get some bids!!

FAQ · 30/10/2008 12:34

I'd try not to get too excited - I once had 27 watchers on an item (can't remember what it was now but I remember the number).......and it sold for the starting price

I like the items where you have no watchers and hardly any visits.......but the suddenly in the last 10 minutes people (who I have no idea lol) go crazy

brimfull · 30/10/2008 12:59

have had 3 bids so far ...will hope for the best

I was selling 3 items once and had a total of nearly 120 watchers ; although they were related items so there was probably only 50 individual watchers.

They were items with a high demand, but rarely seen on ebay. The price rocketed and one of the buyers came all the way from scotland to Cambridgeshire to collect.

brimfull · 02/11/2008 10:51

well you HAVE to tell me what you were selling !!!!!!

Ok we have to know what the items were!!!!

I did have a guy travel all the way from Birmingham (4 hour drive each way from us) to collect a mig welder lol!!

DoNotAttempttoblowupparliament · 02/11/2008 12:43

It was semi-industrial woodworking equipment
(big fancy saws and stuff to you and me )

Peachy · 02/11/2008 12:49

I had 8 on mine (a Monsoon dress) and one decided to bid yesterday night finally, it still has 2 days to run.

So a sale, but mightnot reach what I think its worth yet.

However Dh has an ebay shop and often sells items with no watchers on a last minute bidding war and items with over 30 on no sale at all- its totally unpredictable (and at least 1 watcher probably has someting similar and is wanting a price estimate is my guess)

lilysmummy2007 · 04/11/2008 15:45

i had 39 watchers on my babystyle lux s3d swivel wheel chassis, rrp £139 in the shops and it sold for £128 mine was in new condition though and had sent loads of extra pictures and offered free postage .

Housemum · 05/11/2008 12:17

Some of the watchers may be sellers - I sometimes put a watch on items to see what they sell for, before I list mine. I had 20 people watching an old Sinclair computer but only 3 actually bid.

brimfull · 05/11/2008 13:46

60 watchers so far,5 people have bid, should imagine there will be only a few more bids now .Ends sunday.
