If I have paid for an item via PP but it was not an Ebay transaction am I covered if the item doesn't turn up??

Yes, you can still file a complaint for an item not received.

Make sure you wait at least a weeek/10 days though, and try emailing the person you bought it from first.

It's ok - item turned up....phew!
