negative paypal balance???????????

I was wondering of anyone knows how to sort it out???

I tried over and over again to sort it last night but it kept saying I couldn't transfer more than the negative balance...so I tried putting in the exact amount and less but paypal kept saying the same thing !

did you have a chargeback against you? How did it get into a negative balance?

Do you have a credit card registered on the site? If so, the negative balance will be charged to that card.

Can you get someone to send you the amount from their paypal account to cover the negative balance?

How did you end up with the negative balance?

I don't think paypal are allowed to take the money from your credit card to cover it.

Have they limited your account?

Sorry for the delay. I'm not sure how i ended up with a negative balance..its linked to my debit card so I thought if there wasn't enough in the paypal account they would just take it via the card????

We use a Paypal account at work, and if we make a payment from it with inadequate funds, the excess is taken from the credit card. There may be a setting you have to choose to activate this I think...

oooh I don't have a credit card only a debit card, does taht make a difference I wonder??
