go to the payment in your paypal account, there is an option to refund there

Marne · 08/10/2008 14:42

yes, go to paypal payment, its at the bottom of the page.

Wuxiapian · 08/10/2008 16:18

Oh, too late.

I went to Paypal "Send Payment" and sent it to her email address.

Will that be ok?

Yes, that's how I did it a couple of times!

MsPontipine · 08/10/2008 18:50

Hi - the only thing with that is your buyer will have to pay the Paypal fees on that amount - not bad if we're talking a few pence but any more . . . . she may not be happy as she'll not receive the full amount in the refund (unless you calculated and included the extra needed to cover the fees)You and your buyer have also now paid twice the paypal fee for no money received. If you refunded through the original transaction Paypal would have refunded you the fees payable on the refund amount. Hope that makes sense.

MerkinFitter · 09/10/2008 17:23

As MsP has said, you will have given paypal two lots of fees! If you had refunded her in teh right way, no more fees would have been paid by your or the person you refunded

MrsMagooo · 10/10/2008 18:23

Like the others have said, if you don't refund through the correct channels then the buyer will get PP fees deducted.

If you refund the correct way no fees get deducted.

Oh, buggery.

So, do I now got to find paypal transaction and find go "issue refund" and pay her a little extra to cover it?

Thanks in exasperation.
