I am watching an item

There is only one bidder, "bidder 1 " (a newbie

they seem to be increasing their own bids, first £41, then £45, then £51

wtf is going on? Is the seller trying to inflate the price?

Is it that the reserve hasn't been met yet? It would say so near the current bid amount.

As PSW says the reserve may not be met.

Some newbies get sucked into the "you are the highest bidder/on your max bid do you wish to higher your bid"?

MerkinFitter · 08/10/2008 10:48

also, if you up your own bid in small increments, it makes it look like there are lots of bidders on that item, and that puts a lot of new bidders off! devilish lol
