and are they instant or do they take for example 5 days like cheques do to clear into the account???

I am selling a buggy and the person can pay bank transfer but I dont know if it clears straight away or not! It would need ot clear before I would want to send the buggy iykwim?

It takes 4 working days, they would need your sort code/account number.

yes they are safe as long as you dont give passwords personal info re bank account etc.
you need to wait until last day of clearing after about 2pm so it can not be reversed.

bank transfers are instant if they go into a branch of your bank and pay it. It only takes days if they do it via there own bank or the internet

they are very very safe for you, just not so safe for buyers
