Ebay ettiquette. Bought something 8 days ago, have heard nothing at all.

I've only used ebay a handful of times, but when I've bought something Ive always had an email straight away saying thank-you and giving some idea of when I'll get the items.

I bought something 8 days ago (big item - toy kitchen - over £100) and haven't heard anything. I emailed the seller a couple of days ago to ask for some idea of when I'd get it. It is from Germany, if that makes a difference (may be a language problem?).

Should I sit tight and wait a bit longer? Do I contact ebay itself? Is this normal.

The money has been taken from my paypal account.

message them again - give it 24 hours then open a dispute for item not received.

if they ignore the dispute for more than a day escalate to a claim

I really want the item too so hope they get their act together.

Same thing has happened to me so I have also sent an email asking for reply within 24 hours.

Similar thing has happened to me. Won the bidding on some boots, paid £33, on the 4th. Said they would be sent first class so 1-2 days, and they still aren't here.

I emailed the seller who said that they were posted last Monday and that I would have to wait 15 days for a refund so she can get Royal mail to investigate???

You will find that when you open a dispute with paypal, the seller will soon get back to you. That is the one good thing about Paypal.

I've not got anywhere with this. The money was repaid into my paypal account, then taken out again.

Still no word from the seller at all.

I got in touch with ebay, who weren't very helpful.

Will contact paypal and see if that works.

good news from mine. was problem with customs but they will ship it tomorrow DHL with some freebees to compensate for delay. Hope it's not bullsit. I'm never spending that much money on ebay again. waaaay too many butterflies waiting for it to arrive.

I opened a dispute with paypal and then, 3 days later, the kitchen arrived. Coincidence?!
