I recieved an email form paypal saying I need to add a cc to lift the limitations on my account.

I replied saying I dont have a card and this is what I got in reply -

Ms. X, unfortunately because of the type of limitation that it is (EU
receiving limit) you will have to add a credit or debit card onto your
account.

I understand you don't have one but there are workarounds.

If there is anybody with the same surname as you with a credit card
attached to the address on this account then you can temporarily add this
card to verify your account.

Alternatively, you can get a prepaid top up card. If you type "pre paid top
up card" into Google, you will see that you can get such a card from the
likes of MasterCard etc.

You can put as little as £5 onto the cards and this can also be used to
verify your account too.

Thank you for your time and effort Ms. X.

Sincerely,
Linda

I dont want a bloody pre-paid card, and I dont want a cc. Dp has a different surname so cant use his card.

Why do they have to make things so hard?????? (ok I know the answer but still)

Cancel your PP account, and sign up for a new one, you will have the same limits as you had before, but as it's a new account, you'll be starting from £0.

I've been getting the limitations notice from Paypal for ages now and I have just ignored it and nothing has happened.
